Meeting Agenda

Goal of the Executive Committee (EC) Conference Call: To begin addressing issues directed to the EC by the California Dungeness Crab Task Force (DCTF) at the October 29, 2014 DCTF meeting, as well as other topics that have arisen since that meeting. The EC may forward outcomes memos and/or proposals to the full DCTF for consideration and discussion at future DCTF meeting(s).

1. Welcome, introductions, agenda review

2. Updates

a. California Department of Fish and Wildlife staff (e.g., trap limit program accounting, status of appeals, etc.)
b. DCTF Administrative Team (e.g., work since the October 2014 DCTF meeting, potential legislation, etc.)
c. Ocean Protection Council staff
d. DCTF Executive Committee Members

3. Discussion about opportunities for California to collaborate with Oregon and Washington (e.g., insights on the evaluation of the California commercial Dungeness crab trap limit program, etc.)

4. Discussion of Dungeness crab gear recovery program (e.g., generating ideas surrounding the structure and function of the gear retrieval program, review and consideration of a proposals, etc.)

5. General public comment

Agenda items may be taken out of order at the discretion of the DCTF Administrative Team (Admin Team).
