Meeting Goal

To learn about, discuss, and, potentially, provide comments on the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW’s) proposed Risk Assessment Mitigation Program (RAMP) regulations for the Dungeness crab industry.

Agenda*

Wednesday, June 17, 2020 10:00am

1. Welcome, introductions, and agenda review.

2. Public comment on non-agenda items.

3. Presentation and discussion on the proposed RAMP regulations including, but not limited to, how the draft regulations would apply to the commercial Dungeness crab fishery, CDFW’s implementation timeline, how the draft regulations relate to parallel entanglement mitigation and gear recovery efforts, etc.

ACTION: Consideration and possible development of comments related to the proposed RAMP regulations to be submitted prior to the written public comment period deadline at 11:59 p.m. on June 29, 2020.
