Achieving 30×30 in California’s Coastal Waters: The Work Ahead – Public Webinar Recoding Available

OPC hosted a public webinar on 30×30 in California’s coastal waters on September 4. The session provided an overview of OPC’s Roadmap to Achieving 30×30 in California’s Coastal Waters and outlined next steps for areas that have yet to be evaluated for possible inclusion in 30×30.

The webinar provided an opportunity to take a deeper dive into OPC’s upcoming evaluation of potential 30×30 Conservation Areas. The discussion included information on data sources, evaluation process, and timeline – leading into a public unveiling of more detailed evaluation criteria at the September 30 OPC meeting. The webinar also highlighted how you can stay engaged in this movement as California seeks to conserve an additional 275,000 acres of coastal waters by 2030.
